At the Galtres Centre function suites / rooms are available for hire at competetive rates for your special occassion, including childrens parties, business meetings or wedding receptions.

Laughter in the Wings (Direct from Edinburghfringe!)
Local professional actor, David Goodwin, will have his audience rolling in the aisles as he portrays J Kingston Platt from stories by the Rag Trade actor Peter Jones.
Two stories about Kingston Platt from appearing in panto, and describing how the actor crosses swords with the sex-obsessedmake-up man with disastrous results.

The Easingwold Players

The Easingwold Players are preparing for auditions for their November production Dennis Potter's "Blue Remembered Hills".  Anyone interested in acting or just helping backstage or front of house, contact the chairman, De Madgewick tel. 01347 822133. a warm welcome is guaranteed.

Play reading, starts with Hugh Whitemore's "Pack of Lies" are scheduled to take place at the Galtres Centre in the lounge in July, the intention being that anyone can have a go at acting without the pressure of learning lines.  Again contact De if interested.

Theatre trips are organised by the Players, open to any member of the community, in June there is a visit to Sunderland Empire to see "The Producers", starring Russ Abbott and Joe Pasquale, to Bradford in July to see "42nd Street", same month to Scarborough and the Stephen Joseph theatre for Alan Ayckbourn's "Relatively Speaking", back to Bradford in October to see Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Loce", and to round the year off, we return to Sunderland to see "South Pacific" in November.  Anyone interested in the theatre trips, please contact Ian Hall, tel. 01347 822180.

Easingwold Drama Group
 
'Blue Remembered Hills' by Dennis Potter, will be performed by the group at the Galtres Centre, Wednesday to Saturday inclusive, November 21st -24th 2007.  Tickets available from the Galtres Centre office, tel 01347 822472.
 
The group also arrange theatre trips, open to non-members, coach from Easingwold and back to Easingwold, to musicals, plays, at Newcastle Theatre Royal, Stephen Joseph Theatre Scarborough, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Bradford Alhambra, and Sunderland Empire.  For further details contact Ian hall, treasurer, tel 01347 822180.

 



Galtres Fitness Centre

Fully air-conditioned, state of the art fitness centre with a wide range of cariovascular & resistance equipment

Membership from £12 per month for a weekend pass / members guest fee £4 per visit
One month taster sessions £30, other session available with special offer for the school aged, over 60's, students and unemployed
All memberships include an induction and personal fitness assessment
