| The Easingwold Players
The Easingwold Players are preparing for auditions for their November production Dennis Potter's "Blue Remembered Hills". Anyone interested in acting or just helping backstage or front of house, contact the chairman, De Madgewick tel. 01347 822133. a warm welcome is guaranteed. Play reading, starts with Hugh Whitemore's "Pack of Lies" are scheduled to take place at the Galtres Centre in the lounge in July, the intention being that anyone can have a go at acting without the pressure of learning lines. Again contact De if interested. Theatre trips are organised by the Players, open to any member of the community, in June there is a visit to Sunderland Empire to see "The Producers", starring Russ Abbott and Joe Pasquale, to Bradford in July to see "42nd Street", same month to Scarborough and the Stephen Joseph theatre for Alan Ayckbourn's "Relatively Speaking", back to Bradford in October to see Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Loce", and to round the year off, we return to Sunderland to see "South Pacific" in November. performed by the group at the Galtres Centre, Wednesday to Saturday inclusive,

The group also arrange theatre trips, open to
non-members, coach from Easingwold and back to Easingwold, to musicals, plays,
at Newcastle Theatre Royal, Stephen Joseph Theatre Scarborough, West Yorkshire
Playhouse, Bradford Alhambra, and Sunderland Empire. For further details
