Objectives:
  • local communities to express aspirations & needs
  • working document
  • attract funding into the community
  • influence wider service provision
Forum:
  • made up from local residents, organisations and councillors
  • the plan aims to improve, social, economic & environmental wellbeing of the area for the next ten years
Priorities:
  • establish a tourism forum to support and develop more people to stay / visit the area
  • produce simple to use guides for cycling and walking routes
  • incorporate local churches into the Herriot Country publications
Social  / Transport / Parish:
  • establish house for voluntary sector offices for 'one stop shop' on information and advice
  • campaign for more locally based services
  • improve transport in the area
  • promote car share schemes
  • maintain & develop local facilities to a good standard
  • encourage Parishes to complete their own Parish plans
Young People:
  • provision of skateboard park in Easingwold
  • campaign for affordable housing
