Neighbourhood Watch Schemes in your local community. If you would like to add your neighbourhood's scheme to the website, please contact us via link on the LHS of this page.
Neighbourhood Watch allows the local community to support each other, especially those who feel vulnerable. It also gives a very strong message to those who may want to perpetrate a crime that the people will not accept any wrong doing. They have the direct support of the local police representative for North Yorkshire Police and are kept up to date with problems (if any) within their designated area's.
Neighbourhood Watch Schemes also give the following benefits:
Membership gives discounts on security products at the following retailers:
10% at Hutchinsons, Chapel Street, Easingwold
5% Minster Alarms, Suncliffe Lane, Huntington, York
Possible discounts from household insurers
Co-ordinators are all on the Police 'Ringmaster System' passing on actual and potential criminal activities.
A pack containing Home Office information on protecting your property is issued to each property participating.
